ICET’s Engineering Scale Testing (EST) division works with industry leaders to develop, design, and test engineering scale models that enable companies to make meaningful predictions and adjustments to potential prototypes before large-scale testing begins. Such testing reduces costs of large-scale testing and provides necessary information for making large-scale systems as efficient as possible. In particular, ICET’s EST group has performed work on models that helped to determine the viscosity of the liquid solution and the pump size prior to the construction of the Resistance to Liquid Pressure Test Stand (RLPTS). Other similar work has been performed in the areas of soil leaching that helped to identify performance requirements and determine functionality before more considerable testing began.
